Jack Frost, in English folklore, is represented as a magical creature who personifies the crunch and the cold of winter. Often represented holding a palette of colors, is thought to be responsible for the coloring of the leaves in autumn and decorations of ice that form near the windows during the coldest months of the year. It is believed that this representation is derived from legends and myths of Germanic folklore. They are also in Russian culture, however, correlations with Father Frost and Other Stories of Nordic and Anglo-Saxon tradition as the Snow Miser, Old Man Winter or Father of Winter.
